Allen, PhD, MSPH, NHA, IP, is an associate professor of Health Policy and Administration Emeritus at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and president of LongTermCareEducation.com, a national resource website for information on the long-term care field. He has 30-plus years of experience in teaching and conducting research in the field of health care administration. He taught courses at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in long-term care administration, medical ethics, and the organization and financing of health care delivery in the United States. This book is perfect for anyone who wants to take the NAB exam

This book is perfect for anyone who wants to take the NAB exam. I practically just used this book in concordance with James Allen other NHA guide. I will say the key factors to passing the NAB is truly understanding the federal regulations, understanding the Life safety codes, reading over financials from Allen's other book (chapter 3) and going over all the laws and amendments passed that affect the LTC industry ( Again, Allen's other book chapter 4). However, this book is your bible for future nursing home administrators. Not only does it provide an overview of all the regulations. It also tells you the intent of the regulations and possible compliance issues for each one. It is very thorough and I highly recommend it. There is a national study guide that you can purchase off the appropriate website, but I got to say it is very underwhelming in preparing you for the NAB.
